Auburn Animal Clinic has been providing equine care for over 31 years. Our philosophy is to provide comprehensive care, emphasizing hands-on-care and good communication with our clients, so we can treat without extensive expensive diagnostic testing. We value our “one on one” time with our equine clients during their appointment because it provides the foundation for the best partnership between all of us.
Equine Wellness Care
Good wellness care for horses includes a bi-annual exam. Auburn Animal Clinic’s veterinarians can perform on-site equine exams, which include vaccination and deworming programs tailored to your horse(s) and situation, management advice to help you properly care for your horses, and expert medical care if any horse needs additional care for a disease or medical condition. Early identification of health issues enables us to begin early treatment, often before a more serious condition develops.

Equine Vaccines and Parasite Protection
Vaccines are important in preventing serious diseases in horses. We design personalized vaccine protocols, maximizing protection against the diseases the horse is likely to be exposed to. Our current vaccine recommendations are based on up-to-date research and the incidence of disease in your area.
Protecting your horse against parasites is important. There are alot of internal parasites known to infect horses. Every horse is infected by one or more of these parasites, and horses should have regular de-wormings and be on a parasite prevention and control program.
Our services are designed to emphasize the overall wellness of horses. We also offer other equine services, including:
- Coggins testing
- Dental Care
- Lameness Exams
- Pre-Purchase Exams
